We have built an amazing city where people flock to our schools, stay for our jobs, and choose to retire. Our population is continuing to grow and is projected to really boom over the next 10 years. We want to protect our signature horse farms but need to welcome everyone to our city. Deciding how we handle future growth is a complicated process that my real estate career will help me navigate. That is the most important role of our local government. Our kids should be able to enjoy their childhood in safe parks and playgrounds. We all should feel comfortable walking alone in our neighborhoods and our aging population deserves to feel safe in their own homes. Serving on the Planning and Public Safety Committee has enabled me to learn about the needs of Police, Fire, Community Corrections, and E-911.
